Earth Explorers
When and where do we meet?
Mighty Trees Earth Explorers meets on Monday afternoons at 1:30 pm and class ends around 2:30ish pm. Classes are held at Archer Lodge Town Park in Clayton, NC.
The Winter session will be 8 weeks; starting on January 5, 2026 and ending on February 23, 2026. The life skill theme is Persistence and the geography focus is Canada. (Due to lack of enrollment, this session is PENDING. If there becomes enough interest, classes will move forward, so if you would like to join the Winter Session, please join the waitlist by clicking on the enroll button below).
The Spring session will be 8 weeks; starting on March 9, 2026 and ending on May 4, 2026 (with no class on April 6 due to Easter break). The life skill theme is Wonder and the geography focus is the World.
What DOES a class look like?
Each session has a life-skill based theme. We will start our time each week by getting clues about and guessing who our ‘featured creature’ for the day is. After that, we will dive into learning more details about what geographic area they live in, specifics about their habitat, what they eat, etc. To reinforce some of the things we’ll learn about, we’ll spend the remainder of our class time completing a nature based challenge, activity, and/or craft related to the ‘featured creature!‘ As a Christian co-op, emphasis on God’s creation and care for living things will be brought up during lessons.
